Leadership and Staffing

Governance with vision and high expectations

The organizational structure is built around strong oversight, capable management, and professional staff development.

Governance and Management

The institution is guided by a visionary and competent Board of Trustees with the experience needed to take the school to the highest level.

The Board understands that achieving the SAISS vision requires openness, fairness, and effective leadership that builds confidence among stakeholders and contributes positively to wider national and international success.

Management Staff

SAISS is supported by highly educated, results-centred teaching, coaching, and support staff who serve as the backbone of the institution.

Recruiting and retaining high-quality staff depends on attractive conditions of service, a clear understanding of the school vision, effective appraisal systems, and high expectations from leadership, parents, sports families, and industry partners.

Staff Qualification

Since the school is results-based across all areas of operation, SAISS Trust considers practical ability a cornerstone of success. Staff are expected to hold a relevant diploma or degree, have police clearance, traceable experience, references, and evidence of achievement.

Selected staff also receive further training facilitated by SAISS Trust so they can fully understand and appreciate the institution's vision.

Student Experience

Learning that extends beyond the classroom

Student development at SAISS blends exposure, values formation, practical training, and public presentation of work.

Trips, Tours, Competitions and Exhibitions

Students are offered trips, tours, competitions, and exhibitions that support learning and broaden their exposure.

This helps learners connect abstract learning to real experience in sport and industrial skills development while receiving support in their area of specialization.

Moral Development and Guidance

A pastor engages students on social challenges at home and school, including discipline, substance abuse, harmful social behaviors, and respectful conduct.

Students are also introduced to different religious beliefs to promote international understanding, cooperation, and respect for other cultures.

Industrial Development Benefits
  1. Students acquire the knowledge needed to respond to modern industrial dynamics, including the use of technology.
  2. Students are sent for industrial attachments to deepen practical understanding.
  3. Students establish small to medium businesses in their eighth year at SAISS International School of Sport.
  4. Students learn how to form business associations and protect their market position.
  5. Students learn how to resolve business conflicts amicably and responsibly.
Industrial Park

There is an industrial factory park where students undertake learning and industrial attachments. Students participate practically in management, production, and marketing activities.

Farm agro-processing, dairy, animal husbandry, and food processing are carried out in partnership with the local community.

Exhibition and Recreation Park

Students showcase their industrial development work twice each year, usually in second and third term, allowing parents and visitors to see practical student output.

A central parking system is used to coordinate visitors during exhibition days and sporting activities.

Operations and Identity

Daily movement, institutional culture and belonging

Operational routines are designed to support safety, discipline, and a shared sense of identity across the school community.

Movement Within the Organization
School Opening

Students arrive either by school-hired bus or with their parents. Bus arrivals use the back gate for easier transport of goods, while students arriving with parents use the central car park before moving to their hostels.

School Closing

Students are ferried to Harare and Marondera by school bus from their hostels. Those collected by parents are picked up at the main school back gate.

Student Movement

Movement within the organization follows prescribed footpaths and laid-down procedures. Students must be accompanied by a mentor and are not allowed to move unattended.

Motto and Colours
Go SAISS Go, to Conquer the World, Go SAISS Go.

The institution's main colours are red and blue, representing vision, sacrifice, commitment, hard work, perseverance, and patience.

Blue

The school is defined by a unique vision and a commitment to standing out as a top institution.

Red

Everyone associated with the organization is called to sacrifice and work with great commitment, perseverance, and patience in pursuit of success.

Business Pathways

From skill discovery to enterprise leadership

SAISS identifies talent early, builds technical competence, and creates practical pathways from school to work, study, and business ownership.

Business Pathways Overview

SAISS identifies the technical skills or passions of every student, develops relevant knowledge and skills, and aligns learning with industry-focused competencies. Where appropriate, student interests may connect with family businesses and local opportunities.

This approach is designed to improve the transition from school to work by widening learning opportunities, strengthening industry linkages, and creating clearer routes into further study, employment, and entrepreneurship.
